Aultman Announces Free HealthTalks for November

Aultman Hospital presents the following free HealthTalks programs during the month of November. Seating for all HealthTalks is limited, and reservations are required. Nov. 5: Urinary Incontinence will be presented by Steven Ochs, M.D., and Lindsay Haupt, CNP, from Urology One, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Urinary leakage is common in women. Dr. Ochs and Haupt will provide information on new treatment options for urinary leakage in women.

Nov. 12: Plant-Perfect Diet will be presented by Adene Keller, BSN, RN-C, at Aultman Massillon at 6 p.m. For those wondering how to make their diet healthier, this HealthTalk will discuss how to start a plant-based diet shown to help prevent, stop and even reverse heart disease. Keller will also discuss how to shop for and prepare heart-healthy food.

Nov. 13: Robotic-Assisted Total Knee Replacement will be presented by Steven Widmer, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. Come hear about how this new advancement improves accuracy, care and patient outcomes in total knee replacement using a robotic arm.

Nov. 14: Living Well with Diabetes will be presented by various members of the Aultman Orrville Hospital staff, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. This two-hour presentation will be set up as a health fair, providing attendees an opportunity to discuss their questions with the event’s speakers.

Nov. 15: Lung Cancer Awareness and Prevention will be presented by Kay Miller, MBA, RRT, at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital at noon. Join Miller to learn about the leading causes of lung cancer, along with common signs and symptoms and ways to protect against it.

Nov. 19: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease will be presented by Terry Tegtmeier, M.D., cardiologist, at Aultman Massillon at 6 p.m. Heart disease is the #1 killer. Join Dr. Tegmeier to learn how coronary artery disease develops and how plant-based nutrition has been shown to prevent, stop and even reverse heart disease.
