Aultman Announces Free HealthTalks for May

Aultman Hospital presents the following free HealthTalks programs during the month of May. Seating for all HealthTalks is limited, and reservations are required. May 2: Robotic-Assisted Total Knee Replacement will be presented by Steven Widmer, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, at Rittman Recreation Center at 6 p.m. Come hear how this new advancement improves accuracy, care and patient outcomes in total knee replacement using a robotic arm.

May 8: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease will be presented by Terry Tegtmeier, M.D., cardiologist, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Heart disease is the #1 killer. Join Dr. Tegtmeier to learn how coronary artery disease develops and how plant-based nutrition has been shown to prevent, stop and even reverse heart disease.

May 8: ABCs of Medicare will be presented by a representative from AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan at Paul and Carol David YMCA at 6 p.m. Learn what people need to know as they approach Medicare eligibility. This educational meeting will help individuals and their loved ones navigate through the Medicare network as they prepare for tomorrow.

May 8: Strength Training will be presented by David Speicher, MS, PES, CSCS, Aultman Orrville Sports & Wellness, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. Use it or lose it. Strength is important in maintaining health and wellness at any age.

May 14: ABCs of Medicare will be presented by a representative from AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital at 6 p.m. Learn what people need to know as they approach Medicare eligibility. This educational meeting will help individuals and their loved ones navigate through the Medicare network as they prepare for tomorrow.

May 15: Brain Fitness will be presented by Linda Griggs, MSN, RN-BC, ACNS-BC, Specialized Senior Services, at Canton Christian Home at 1:30 p.m. The health of the brain plays an important role in overall well-being. The brain changes with age, but its purpose does not. Join Griggs to learn strategies to keep the brain functioning at its optimal level.

May 15: Plant-Perfect Diet will be presented by Adene Keller, BSN, RN-C, Aultman Cardiac Rehab, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Learn how to start a plant-based diet shown to help prevent, stop and even reverse heart disease. Keller will discuss how to shop for and prepare heart-healthy food.

May 15: Anemia will be presented by Robert Sabota, M.D., internal medicine, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. Learn about the impact that anemia can have on health.

May 16: ABCs of Medicare will be presented by a representative from AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan at Massillon Recreation Center at 6 p.m. Learn what people need to know as they approach Medicare eligibility. This educational meeting will help individuals and their loved ones navigate through the Medicare network as they prepare for tomorrow.

May 17: Total Joint Replacements will be presented by Christopher Stalling, D.O., at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital at noon. Dr. Stalling will discuss why joint replacements sometimes fail and how they can be treated.

May 22: ABCs of Medicare will be presented by a representative from AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at 6 p.m. Learn what people need to know as they approach Medicare eligibility. This educational meeting will help individuals and their loved ones navigate through the Medicare network as they prepare for tomorrow.

May 22: Springtime Allergies will be presented by Brett Buller, D.O., Dunlap Family Physicians, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. It’s springtime, and allergies are in full bloom. Dr. Buller will review causes, symptoms and methods of relief.

May 23: ABCs of Medicare will be presented by a representative from AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Learn what people need to know as they approach Medicare eligibility. This educational meeting will help individuals and their loved ones navigate through the Medicare network as they prepare for tomorrow.

May 29: ABCs of Medicare will be presented by a representative from AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. Learn what people need to know as they approach Medicare eligibility. This educational meeting will help individuals and their loved ones navigate through the Medicare network as they prepare for tomorrow.
