The free open house will feature facility tours, program information, giveaways, door prizes and educational materials related to weight management, sports medicine services and hospital-based wellness. Those attending the open house will have an exclusive opportunity to participate in any of the regularly scheduled exercise classes on at no cost.

“We are not about healthy resolutions; we’re about healthy lifestyles,” said Dave Speicher, MS, CSCS, supervisor of the Sports & Wellness program. “We help people establish new habits they can stick to, creating a healthier overall lifestyle. This open house is a perfect opportunity to learn about the different exercise, training and weight management programs we have to offer.”

A recent survey indicated that after involvement in the Sports & Wellness program, members saw personal improvement in strength and endurance, lower back pain, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, arthritis symptoms, Type 2 diabetes and weight management. Aultman Orrville’s hospital-based wellness program is also an approved facility for senior fitness programs such as SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit and Optum Fitness Advantage.

The Aultman Orrville Sports & Wellness team includes athletic trainers, dietitians, exercise specialists, health coaches, medical providers and strength and conditioning specialists. These experts work with members on an individual basis to manage their health.
