Aultman Orrville Hosts Health Talks in March

by Kristi Spuhler | Feb 14, 2017
Aultman Orrville Hospital will host three health talks in March, as part of a monthly educational speaker series. This series was established in response to the community’s rising need for trusted, accurate health information. All Health Talks will begin at 6 p.m. in Aultman Orrville’s community room. These talks are free and open to the public.

On Thursday, March 2, David Downey, an Aultman Orrville Athletic Trainer, will present “Pain Free Golf in 2017: Strategies for Injury Prevention and Performance.”  Join David as he explores how tight muscles and dysfunctional movement patterns can result in technical flaws and pain in your golf swing. Learn how to prevent common golf injuries and how to prioritize your exercise routine before the next golf season begins.

On Thursday, March 9, Lynn Lilly, from LifeCare Hospice, will present “Coping with Sudden Death.” Join Lynn as she discusses one of life’s most stressful events – the loss of a loved one. This talk will help you find ways to receive the support and comfort you need as you cope with your loss.

On Wednesday, March 15, Dr. Amelia Laing, from Aultman Orrville Women’s Health Services, will present “HPV and Today’s Pap.” Join Dr. Laing as she clears up the confusion about HPV (human papillomavirus) and Pap smears. Whether you have questions about the risks or prevention of cervical cancer, or you aren’t sure if you should receive a Pap test or HPV test, Dr. Laing will have your answers.
