ORRVILLE, Ohio (July 30, 2015) – Aultman Orrville Hospital will host three health talks in August, as part of a monthly education speaker series. This series was established in response to the community’s rising need for trusted, accurate health information.
On Tuesday, August 4, Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist Dr. Mark Brigham, will present “Obstructive Sleep Apnea.” Obstructive Sleep Apnea can be defined as snoring that is interrupted by periods of stopped breathing, gasping or choking during sleep, restless sleep, excessive sleepiness or fatigue during the day, morning headache, irritability and depression. Join Dr. Brigham to learn more about how these symptoms can affect your sleep cycle.
Aultman Cancer Genetics Dr. Kisa Weeman will present “What’s New in Cancer Genetics” on Wednesday, August 12. During this presentation, Dr. Weeman will discuss the newest genetic tests available for patients who have a personal or family history of cancer. Join the group to learn how this testing can help patients be proactive in managing their risk for cancer.
On Wednesday, August 26, Denise Testa, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA, and Amy Yoder, MA, CCC-A, FAAA, will present information about hearing loss. Attend this health talk to learn more about the signs, symptoms and effects of hearing conditions and the latest treatment options.
