Aultman Orrville Hospital will host two upcoming health talks in January as a part of its monthly education speaker series.
On Jan. 13, Dunlap Family Physician provider Renee Schlabach, M.D. will present information on colon cancer screenings. Schlabach’s presentation will explain how early detection and treatment through screenings can prevent cancer and save lives. The presentation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Aultman Orrville Community Room.
On Jan. 22, Richard Jones, M.D. from the Aultman Internal Medicine Center will present information on the Aultman Weight Management Program. Aultman Orrville will begin offering the physician-supervised weight-loss program in January 2014. Jones’ presentation will describe the three weight-loss program options – New Direction, New Outlook and New Choices. The three programs differ based on the amount of weight loss desired, but they combine key success components such as nutrition, behavior, modification, physical activity and emotional support. The presentation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Aultman Orrville Community Room.
