Jan. 14: Staying in the Huddle – A Personal Game Plan for 2020 will be presented by Mike Gallina, AultCare’s vice president of communication and community engagement, at Aultman Massillon at 1:30 p.m. The huddles in people’s lives are represented by family, friends, church and social groups. Gallina will reflect upon and engage strategies for “staying in the huddle” by using principles, values, skills and talents.

Jan. 17: Healthy Eating in the New Year will be presented by Maria Gillio, RDN, LD, at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital at noon. The new year is often a time of new resolutions to become healthier. Join Gillio to talk about ways to improve eating habits and begin 2020 on the right foot.

Jan. 28: Cracking Alzheimer’s Disease will be presented by Shishuka Malhotra, M.D., at North Canton Medical Center at 1:30 p.m. Alzheimer’s disease is the major cause of dementia (70 percent). There is no available treatment for Alzheimer’s disease that slows or stops the damage to the neurons. Learn more about the new cutting-edge research at NBR which may alter the course of the disease.

Jan. 29: Weight Management will be presented by Heather Nist-Weisel, MA, RDN/LD, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Managing weight can be a struggle. Learn five tried and true techniques to help with losing weight, and more importantly, keeping the weight off.

Jan. 30: High Blood Pressure: The Silent Killer will be presented by Robert Sabota, M.D.; Matthew Newman, LD; and Dave Speicher, MS, PES, CSCS, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 4 p.m. Attend this session to learn about the impact of high blood pressure from Dr. Sabota, followed by another session at 5 p.m. about how food and weight management can affect this common disease from Newman and Speicher. Free blood pressure checks will be offered.
