Aultman Announces Free Health Talks for Nov.

CANTON, Ohio (Oct. 18, 2018) -- Aultman Hospital presents the following free Health Talk programs during the month of November. Seating for all Health Talks is limited, and reservations are required. Nov. 1: Head Start on a Healthier New Year will be presented by Dave Speicher, MS, CSCS, Orrville Sports & Wellness, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. Join Speicher to learn some practical tips to jump start a “healthier you” in 2019.

Nov. 7: Grief at the Holidays will be presented by Christine Scott, LISW-S, and Judy Smith, LPCC-S, Aultman Grief Services, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center at 6 p.m. For those who are missing someone this holiday season, this session will teach techniques to manage grief during the holidays.

Nov. 7: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease will be presented by Terry Tegtmeier, M.D., cardiologist, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Heart disease is America’s #1 killer. This presentation will look at the evidence showing how plant-based nutrition can prevent, stop and even reverse coronary heart disease.

Nov. 8: Grief at the Holidays will be presented by Christine Scott, LISW-S, and Judy Smith, LPCC-S, Aultman Grief Services, at Aultman West at 1:30 p.m. For those who are missing someone this holiday season, this session will teach techniques to manage grief during the holidays.

Nov. 8: Plant Perfect Diet will be presented by Adene Keller, BSN, RN-C, cardiac rehabilitation, at Aultman West at 6 p.m. Can a person thrive on a plant-based diet? Join Keller to explore the benefits of a whole-food diet and how food choices can affect someone’s risk for heart disease.

Nov. 14: Fibromyalgia will be presented by Mark Pellegrino, M.D., physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Fibromyalgia is characterized by widespread muscle aches, sleep disorders and fatigue. Learn ways to live with this debilitating condition.

Nov. 28: Cataract Options and Solutions for Presbyopia will be presented by Sanjeev Dewan, M.D., ophthalmologist, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Cataracts cause blurry vision and are a leading cause of treatable blindness. Learn about prevention of cataracts and the various treatment options available.

Nov. 29: Mona Lisa Touch will be presented by Joann Krivetzky, M.D., Premier Gynecology Associates, at Aultman West at 6 p.m. Make vaginal dryness a thing of the past! Come and learn more about this common problem and treatment options for women during and after menopause.
