October 2: Daily Living Made Easier will be presented by Steven Widmer, M.D. and Susan Gilbert, OT, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 5:30 p.m. Join us to learn some tips, techniques and tools to make daily living easier on your joints.
October 10: Droopy Eyelids will be presented by Jamie Zucker, M.D., at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Learn how laser blepharoplasty can make you look years younger and improve droopy eyelids and bags under the eyes.
October 11: Adult Vaccines will be presented by Nick Herbst, PharmD and Leeanne Mobayed, PharmD, at Aultman West at 6 p.m. Vaccinations aren’t just for kids anymore. Adult vaccinations help prevent diseases like shingles, pneumonia, whooping cough and others. Learn about what vaccinations are recommended for adults as well as some of the myths and controversies surrounding their use.
October 17: Exercise: Medicine for Your Heart will be presented by Cameron Casimir, MSEP, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Exercise plays a significant role in reducing cardiac risk factors. Learn how exercise acts as medicine and helps improve cardiovascular health as well as overall well-being.
October 24: Varicose Veins will be presented by Brett Butler, M.D., at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Learn techniques to reduce discomfort and progression of varicose veins as well as when to seek medical assistance.
October 24: Food for Thought will be presented by Beverly Bixby, Dietitian from Hospice LifeCare, at Aultman Orrville Hospital at 6 p.m. Learn about the emotional ties that people have with food – from birth to death.
