ORRVILLE, Ohio (Aug. 25, 2017) – To meet the needs of new mothers, Aultman Orrville Hospital is offering a breast-feeding class on Thursday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. in the hospital’s obstetrics department. The class provides information and assists mothers to gain confidence in their breast-feeding techniques.
The instructor, who is a registered nurse and international board-certified lactation consultant, will educate new mothers in an anxiety-free environment using a variety of methods including lecture, video and visual aids. Topics will include the stages of breast milk development, the benefits of breast feeding, breast-feeding techniques and common breast-feeding complications. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask common questions about breast feeding.
