On March 3, Rodney Miller, M.D., from the Wooster Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, will present information on joint resurfacing and replacement for hip and knee arthritis. Dr. Miller’s presentation will explain how joint resurfacing can sometimes be a better option than a total replacement. Joint resurfacing retains the healthy compartments of your joint, while only replacing the damaged surfaces. If arthritis is limited to only one or two compartments of the hip or knee, resurfacing is a very good option. On March 24, Robert Sabota, M.D., an internal medicine physician from Aultman Orrville, will present “What is a Hospitalist?” Dr. Sabota will explain the details and the important role of hospitalists, who are physicians that focus on the care of hospitalized patients.
