The volunteers at Aultman Orrville, also known as the hospital Auxiliary, have made a valuable impact on the hospital for nearly 30 years.
More than 50 volunteers make up the Auxiliary team. Their volunteer efforts range from transporting patients to answering visitor questions with a friendly smile. Any time you visit the hospital, odds are you will interact with an Auxiliary member.
Aultman Orrville is pleased to announce the Auxiliary Executive Committee for 2014-2015. These individuals will serve and represent the Auxiliary in a leadership capacity – with a continued focus and goal on supporting the hospital and its patients. Below are the new Auxiliary Executive Committee leaders (also pictured left to right):
- Ruth Eberly, president.
- Phyllis Kornhaus, treasurer.
- Becky Gerber, president-elect.
- Robin Massie, secretary.
- Lois Eastwood, vice president, is not pictured.
In 2013, the Auxiliary volunteered more than 8,000 hours. This is a significant benefit to the hospital and helps Aultman Orrville remain a low-cost, high-quality hospital.
“Our Auxiliary members are such a vital part of our team,” said Community Relations Specialist Oma Marks. “So often, patients, families and visitors comment on how helpful the Auxiliary team is during their visit.”
In addition to day-to-day volunteer work, the Auxiliary provides fundraising efforts for hospital departments. If you’re interested in becoming an Auxiliary member or would like more information on volunteering, please call Community Relations at 330-684-4703.
