Feb. 12: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease will be presented by Terry Tegtmeier, M.D., cardiologist, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. Heart disease is the #1 killer. Join Dr. Tegtmeier to learn how coronary artery disease develops and how plant-based nutrition has been shown to prevent, stop and even reverse heart disease.

Feb 13: Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation will be presented by M. Rizwan Sardar, M.D., at North Canton Medical Center at 1 p.m. For those with atrial fibrillation, this HealthTalk will discuss a simple heart procedure that can help prevent stroke and potentially stop the need for blood thinners.

Feb.19: Plant-Perfect Diet will be presented by Adene Keller, BSN, RN-C, at North Canton Medical Center at 6 p.m. For those wondering how to make their diet healthier, this HealthTalk will discuss how to start a plant-based diet shown to help prevent, stop and even reverse heart disease. Keller will also discuss how to shop for and prepare heart-healthy food.

Feb. 20: Women’s Heart Health will be presented by Roxy Fish, APRN, CNP, at 4 p.m. at Aultman Orrville Hospital. Women have heart attacks too! Come hear what can be done to decrease the chance of developing heart disease.

Feb. 21: Minimally Invasive Lung Surgery will be presented by Harry J. D’Agostino, Jr., M.D., at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital at noon. Lung surgery can now sometimes be done using tiny incisions. This HealthTalk will discuss the newest procedures that reduce risk, scarring and recovery time.
