by Kristi Spuhler | Oct 20, 2017
ORRVILLE, Ohio (Oct. 18, 2017) – Aultman Orrville Hospital will host three Health Talks in November as part of a monthly educational speaker series. This series was established in response to the community’s rising need for trusted, accurate health information. All Health Talks will begin at 6 p.m. in Aultman Orrville’s community room. These talks are free and open to the public.

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, Jeffrey Marsh, M.D., from Aultman’s Compassionate Care Center, will present “Advanced Directives – Decision Making.” It is important to have a written plan stating what health care treatments someone would or would not want if they cannot speak for themselves. Join Dr. Marsh as he explains the options about advance directives and end-of-life decisions.

On Thursday, Nov. 9, Bobbie Randall, MEd, RD, LD, CDE, from Aultman Orrville Hospital, will present “Are You a Mindful Eater?” as part of the Growing Healthy Habits speaker series. The mindful eater loves food but is not driven by the desire for the next meal. Join Randall as she talks about how to become a mindful eater.

On Wednesday, Nov. 15, Richard Tompkins, RN, FNP-BC, from Aultman Orrville Dunlap Family Physicians, will present “Understanding Fibromyalgia.” Fibromyalgia pain is widespread, chronic and can range in intensity from mild to profound. Join Tompkins as he explains fibromyalgia and what can be done to gain relief.
