Aultman Orrville Hospital will host three health talks in March and April, as part of a monthly education speaker series. This series was established in response to the community’s rising need for trusted, accurate health information.
ORRVILLE, Ohio (March 19, 2015) – Aultman Orrville Hospital will host three health talks in March and April, as part of a monthly education speaker series. This series was established in response to the community’s rising need for trusted, accurate health information.
On Wednesday, March 25, Dr. Anson Miedel from Wooster Eye Center, will present “Preventing Eye Problems with Diabetes.” Diabetes is a serious disease that poses considerable risk to the vascular system, particularly to the crucial and delicate blood vessels of the eyes. Join Dr. Miedel for an in-depth discussion about the symptoms and treatment options.
STEPS at Liberty Center Outpatient Therapist Julie Kreuz, PC-CR, and Care Coordination Specialist Melinda Kauffman, LPN, CDCA, will present “Drug Abuse, Addiction and Recovery in our Community” on Wednesday, April 8. During this presentation, Kreuz and Kauffman will discuss the nature of drug abuse, how it develops, signs of drug abuse and why drug abuse can become an addiction. They will also cover how to deal with drug abuse and addiction for you, a family member or friend.
Dr. Richard Jones from Aultman Medical Group will present about the Aultman Weight Management Program on Thursday, April 9. Jones will discuss three weight-loss programs offered at Aultman Orrville: New Direction, New Outlook and New Choices. These three programs were created for different of weight-loss goals. Each program combines the key components of weight-loss success: nutrition, behavior modification, physical activity and emotional support.
