Childbirth Education Class Offered at AOH

by Kristi Spuhler | Mar 26, 2018
To meet the needs of expectant mothers, Aultman Orrville is offering a childbirth education class on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the hospital’s community room. The class provides information to assist mothers with making informed decisions about their birth experiences.
The instructors, who are certified childbirth educators, registered nurses and international board-certified lactation consultants, will educate expectant mothers in an anxiety-free environment using a variety of methods including lecture, exercises, games and visual aids. Topics will include signs of labor, comfort techniques, modes of delivery, newborn care and breast-feeding basics.

The last hour of this class is a breastfeeding session and can be attended separately from the rest of the course. There is a $10 fee to attend only the breastfeeding session.
